Even though it had been neglected for two years, the house was in fairly good shape — at least at first glance. On closer look, it needed work! But, this was a new market for us and we were really excited about making this house, someone’s dream home!
Understanding what the buyer wants is what sets Main Street Fine Homes apart, so despite the beautiful white appliances in the kitchen, we replaced them all with stainless! In the bathrooms too, we took our cue from the market and kept the lovely cabinetry, but changed out the vanity tops to granite and added better quality faucets.
At first, the hardwood looked good, but there were deep scratches, so we replaced those boards, sanded and refinished the floors. Originally, the staircase had a carpet runner, but once we refinished the oak floors, it was just too beautiful to cover up.
